Police look for suspect who fatally shot man sitting in car

Bridgeport police are looking for a suspect in the shooting death of a man who was gunned down Sunday night while sitting in a car.

Bridgeport police are looking for a suspect in the shooting death of a man who was gunned down Sunday night while sitting in a car.
Police say two shots were fired into the passenger side of a car around 9:20 p.m., killing 21-year-old Leogiovanni Fernandes Spencer at the end of Gem Avenue near Whitney Place. They say he was shot in the head and neck.
The driver of the car then rushed to get Spencer to the hospital, but ended up crashing on Route 8 while trying to get on I-95 north, according to police. The driver is OK. Police believe he and Spencer were friends.
Police add the shooting does not appear to be random.
