New York State police are investigating a chain reaction crash that killed a Stamford man Monday.
The accident happened on Route 22 in the town of Brewster, just north of the I-84.
Police say a Honda CRV was apparently passing cars in the shoulder wen it crashed into the back of an SUV making a legal turn into a gas station.
The force of the impact sent the SUV crashing into another car in the parking lot.
Chris Hammil, of Stamford, was taken to the hospital and died of his injuries.
Charges are still pending against the first driver.
