Police say a 23-year-old man was arrested in connection to a shooting in Norwalk Thursday morning.
Marcus Bonaparte is charged with assault in the shooting of a man at Roodner Court around 10 a.m.
Police say shortly after the shooting, Bonaparte drove through Fairfield where he was seen throwing the gun out of his car on Kings Highway East.
They say he finally stopped at Central High School in Bridgeport where he told security he was the one in danger.
He was brought inside, but eventually ran from the school before being caught a short time later.
The victim was shot in the stomach and has since been released from the hospital.
