Police say a driver died after his car plunged into the water in Bridgeport. 

Bridgeport police say after receiving a call about a car driving off the road and entering water, they found a vehicle submerged to the roof between the intersection of Stratford Avenue and Waterview Avenue. 

The driver was removed from the vehicle and taken to Bridgeport Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
