A man is facing multiple charges in the shooting of a woman in Woodbridge Thursday night.
Woodbridge police responded to a home on Raymond Street and found a woman with a gunshot wound to the head. She was with an infant, who was not hurt.
Police say Raymond Sosa, 49, was in the home and refusing to leave. Woodbridge police were assisted by other departments, including state police, and were able to get Sosa to exit the home and place him under arrest.
The woman was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
Sosa is facing a number of charges including assault, risk of injury to a minor and weapons possession.
He is being held on $100,000 bond.
