A 21-year-old man is recovering at Stamford Hospital after police say he was ambushed and shot while walking into his home early Wednesday morning.
Police say the unidentified victim was unlocking his door on Alden Street when he was attacked. They say at least four shots were fired, one of them hitting him in the back.
Officials believe this latest shooting is related to a series of recent shootings between a group of young men in the Connecticut Avenue/Myano Lane area and a group in the Spruce Street/Stillwater area.
The victim is expected to be OK. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Stamford police.
