In orange today posting new photos from that massive TV caravan as they look to make more arrests in the case. And Milford police are also asking the public to help identify the drivers. New South Connecticut's alter has an update on the investigation tonight. Police want to know if you recognize these three men. They're accused of being among the horde of riders who took over route one with their atvs bikes and other motor vehicles rolling from West Haven through Orange. Then Milford on July 8, we just had 3 to 400 people come down the post road, we saw people doing things like wheelies, weaving in and out of traffic, passing cars on the opposite side of the road and just a lot of reckless driving. Milford police got a heads up from orange that the caravan was heading their way. So officers were sent to the area. Our officers activated their dash cams. We did not pursue any vehicles. Our officers were told to not engage in any pursuits if it was motor vehicle violations that allowed them to capture images of those involved. Police posted the first pictures on July 11. It's dangerous for everybody that's in the takeover and also everybody else that's just trying to drive the vehicle down the post road. That type of behavior can cause a lot of accidents. PFC Brianna macdonald said it did cause one accident, a bike got caught under a car. We got a call from the people inside the car frantic not knowing what to do because there was these 300 to 400 people that just surrounded the vehicle. That call was among the dozens that came in that evening to police in Orange and Milford. It's very scary for people who are just trying to travel through our city and who live here as well. Police in orange just announced the first arrest related to the caravan just in pots of Meriden. Police said Potts was drinking a beer while driving recklessly on an unregistered ATV. Street takeovers have been a problem in New Haven County for years but appear to be increasing, leaving the public even more frustrated. We have seen stuff like this before but not to this extent in a long time in Milford, Marissa Alter News 12 Connecticut.
