Fairfield police have reportedly charged a Monroe man after finding a gun in his car during a DUI arrest.
The Connecticut Post reports an officer stopped 29-year-old William Jones after watching him drive the wrong way on the Post Road early Saturday morning.
They say Jones failed a sobriety test.
Jones is also accused of possessing a handgun while intoxicated.
The Post reports police say Jones was covered in blood at the time of the stop and told officers he was punched while walking from one bar to another just a short time prior to him being pulled over.
