Lisa Piccerillo was taken into custody Thursday and charged with risk of injury to a child.
Police say the incident happened on May 20.
Norwalk Hospital reported the suspected case of abuse involving a 4-month-old.
Piccerillo was identified as the suspect and as a relative of the victim.
There is no further word on their relationship or the extent of the infant's injuries.
