A New Haven police officer shot a robbery suspect who led officers on a chase and then rammed two police cruisers, according to authorities.
Kenneth Palmieri, of Branford, allegedly rammed two police cruisers before the officer opened fire, hitting the man in his arm.
The incident happened at the Church Street South housing project.
No officers were hurt in the incident.
Palmieri is expected to survive.
