A Norwich man is accused of ramming a septic truck into a state police cruiser.
Connecticut State Police say the incident happened at 5 p.m. on Friday on Norwich Westerly Road in Stonington. They received a call that a mother was having a dispute with her son.
Upon their arrival, troopers were confronted by Donovan Steve Beard, 18, who was operating a septic truck he had illegally gained access to. It is not clear where the truck came from or how Beard got access to it.
Beard is accused of ramming the truck into the cruiser before leading police on a foot chase. He faces several charges, including criminal mischief and attempted assault.
He is expected in court on Monday.
No one was injured during the incident.
