5h agoNewington police say that a man killed on I-84 Wednesday while crossing the travel lanes was a suspect in a stabbing.
They say that a woman was found around 9 p.m. at the Bradford Commons with serious stab wounds. EMS transported her to a hospital for treatment.
Police say that the suspect, identified as Ricky Izzard, was standing on the right shoulder between the Exit 15 ramps around midnight before attempting to cross. He was then hit by two cars and pronounced dead at the scene.
Anyone with information on the Newington stabbing is asked to call police at 860-666-8445. State police are investigating the fatal crash.
