Police release image of hit-and-run car that struck Bridgeport firefighter
Police have released an image of a car connected to the hit-and-run of a Bridgeport firefighter.
Erique McCalla, 46, was struck and hit by a car on June 28 after leaving a restaurant on Stratford Avenue.
Police say McCalla was off duty at the time of the incident and that the car fled the scene.
McCalla remains in ICU at Bridgeport Hospital.
"My son is still struggling, he's progressing, but he's still struggling," says Linda Fernandez Johnson, McCalla's mother. "He did not deserve this, and he's really fighting hard to come back."

The vehicle has been identified as a dark gray-colored Toyota Corolla; possibly a 2015.
Police say the vehicle should have sustained front-end damage and will be missing a drivers' side rear-view mirror.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bridgeport Police Department's Traffic Division's Sgt. Gabe Meszaros at (203) 576-7640.
