Police in Bridgeport are asking for the public's help in tracking down a hit-and-run driver accused of seriously injuring a pedestrian.
The crash happened near Boston Avenue and East Main Street around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police have released surveillance pictures in an effort to identify the driver and SUV believed to be involved in the crash.
Police say the male driver stopped, got out of his SUV, saw the pedestrian, and then left without rendering aid.
It appears the driver was wearing a hooded sweatshirt at the time of the crash.
Police say his passenger is believed to be a female.
Police believe the SUV is a white 2008 to 2014 GMC Yukon.
