Police release surveillance images of hit-and-run vehicle involved in fatal Waterbury crash

Police are searching for a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Waterbury on Saturday night.

Police are searching for a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Waterbury on Saturday night.
Investigators released surveillance images of the vehicle identified as a dark-colored SUV, possibly a RAV4, with damage to the front end.
Officers were called to East Main Street just before 9 p.m. after getting a report of a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.
When police arrived, they said they found a 78-year-old man from Waterbury who had been struck by a car.
The man was brought to Saint Mary's Hospital, but later died of his injuries.
