Police helped rescue a group of boaters from choppy waters on the Long Island Sound last week.
Passengers say waves were high and rough last week when their engine started to fill up with water, which threatened to stall it.
Wendy Tarantino, of Darien, says she and her family were headed from Norwalk to Darien when her husband told her they were in trouble.
The passengers say that their motor would have stalled and their boat would have sunk had police not arrived to help.
