Norwalk police are searching for the vandals responsible for causing thousands of dollars worth of damage to the playing fields at Ponus Ridge Middle School.
School officials discovered Thursday afternoon that the bleachers had been moved and severely dented, and that a soccer goal had been destroyed. The fields were also covered in muddy tire tracks and littered with beer cans.
Officials estimate the total cost to fix the damaged fields and equipment to be between $6,000-$8,000. They say the repairs won't happen until spring.
Anyone with information is asked to call Norwalk police.
