Police in Bridgeport are searching for the suspects involved in an incident Monday that injured one man and killed a dog.
Wilfredo Vargas says his dog, Stogie, got caught up in the incident after hearing gunshots.
Police say the incident happened Monday on Federal Street. Police say an 18-year-old woman and 31-year-old man were in a car on Federal Street when they were called to reports that a man was shot in the arm. They were then called to the scene of where Stogie had been shot.
Police say the man was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK. Police believe the teen was kidnapped, but say she is doing fine.
The Vargas' family is now forced to go on without Stogie. "He was like one of our kids, so to see him go is painful," says Vargas.
