Bridgeport police are looking for three men who held up a liquor store Thursday night.
It happened at King Discount Liquor on Barnum Avenue around 8:45 p.m.
Police say there were several people in the store when the robbery occurred.
Police say each suspect wore a ski mask and gloves. They escaped on foot with about $1,000.
Democratic Town Committee member Charlie Coviello lives in the neighborhood and says this case is more than just an armed robbery. He claims there has been a rise in illegal rooming houses on the East Side, and says those dwellings are sheltering criminals.
"Something has to be done to change all that. We need to get the rooming houses out of here," said Coviello.
As authorities continue their investigation, Coviello is vowing to push for change.
