Police seek man involved in robbery at TD Bank in Fairfield

Fairfield police are asking for the public's help in identifying a bank robbery suspect.

Fairfield police are asking for the public's help in identifying a bank robbery suspect.
The robbery happened around 3:15 p.m. Monday at TD Bank at 1643 Post Road.
Police say the suspect demanded money from the teller and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. They say the suspect did not display a weapon. No one was hurt.
Police describe the suspect as a light-skin Black or Hispanic male in his mid-50s. He's around 5'11" with a thin build, and was wearing a surgical mask, gray-colored sweatshirt and black-and-white sneakers at the time of the robbery.
Police say the suspect took off on foot. He was last seen traveling westbound on the Post Road. A K-9 was deployed to search the area, but did not locate him.
It's unknown if the suspect entered a car. Detectives are working to obtain surveillance video from nearby businesses.
