The family of an 11-year-old boy, who was struck in the back of the head, is asking for the public's help in finding the suspect who assaulted him last Friday morning.
Aaron Padgett Jr. was walking with his grandmother to the bus stop at the corner of 150th Street and Concourse Village West when someone struck him in the back of the head with a pipe. Padgett was treated at Lincoln Hospital and needed seven staples to close his wound.
Police say the suspect who attacked Padgett took off toward East 161st Street. They say the suspect is 6 feet 3 inches and Hispanic with dark hair.
While his injuries are minor, Padgett says it's the emotional scars that he's trying to cope with.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
