Police in Greenwich are urging store owners to beef up security by installing surveillance cameras.
Some storeowners say that they can?t afford to purchase surveillance cameras, but others see them as an investment.
?The main concern is graffiti, vandalism and people breaking into windows, breaking into cars, that kinda thing,? said Stavros Karipedes who has surveillance cameras installed in three of his businesses.
While some shoppers might not want to be watched by surveillance cameras, others don?t see it as a problem.
?I don't know why people get all concerned with the Big Brother aspect of it, because if you're not doing anything wrong, then what's the problem,? said Rich Adamo, of Byram.
