Police: Teen finds unsecured gun in Watertown home, shoots himself in the head

Police say the teen was playing with the gun when he shot himself in the head Saturday afternoon.

A 14-year-old boy was critically injured over the weekend after finding an unsecured gun inside a home on Hadley Street in Watertown.
Police say the teen was playing with the gun when he shot himself in the head Saturday afternoon.
He is in critical, but stable condition at Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
Police remind gun owners to keep weapons in a locked container at all times.
