A Wallingford man has been charged with attacking a Milford police officer.

Police say 25-year-old Trevor Angeletti confronted a bouncer at Eli's Tavern on Daniel Street around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

They say Angeletti attacked someone walking past the bar before eventually pushing an officer all the way across the street and into their cruiser.

News 12 is told the cruiser was damaged and the officer suffered injuries to both knees.

Police say it took bouncers from the two bars, plus extra Milford police officers, to bring Angeletti under control.
