Police say an elderly man was hit by a car twice and then dragged 50 feet in Stamford.
Investigators say 72-year-old David Gorn was hit by the car outside the Bull's Head Diner. According to police, the driver in the hit-and-run was Gorn's ex-girlfriend, 64-year-old Heather Harris, of Stamford.
Police say Harris and Gorn were having a dispute over a porcelain turtle.
Authorities say she took the keys out of Gorn's car and got into her car in a neighboring parking lot. Police say the victim was hit by Harris when he chased after her to get his keys back.
Gorn suffered a concussion, but police say his injuries are not life-threatening. He was released from Stamford Hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Police say Harris was charged with first-degree assault, evading responsibility and reckless operation. She was released on $75,000 bond and was told not to have any contact with Gorn.
