Police: Woman struck and killed in New Haven

Police say the driver called police telling them he had hit a woman who was crossing the street.

Police in New Haven say a woman was struck and killed by a car Monday night.
It happened on Whalley Avenue near Hudson Street.
Police say the driver called police telling them he had hit a woman who was crossing the street.
Judith Williams was rushed to the hospital where police say she died.
The driver reportedly told police he didn't see Williams but felt the impact.
Investigators are talking to witnesses and looking for surveillance video.
