Congressional hopefuls were busy Monday with last-minute campaign efforts as primary elections approach.
Rep. Charlie Rangel, 84, is running in one of only two races in the borough. He is trying to come out on top again in order to continue his political career that has spanned four decades. His opponent, Adriano Espaillat, campaigned in the Bronx hoping to gain some more support.
Espaillat said Rangel has good endorsements but so does he. He is being backed by Comptroller Scott Stringer and Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
Also running against Rangel and Espaillat in District 13 are Yolanda Garcia and Michael Walrond.
The race for District 15 is between current Rep. Jose E. Serrano and Sam Sloan.
The polls are open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. across the Bronx
