A portion of I-95 north in Stamford reopened Wednesday after it was closed for hours.

State police say I-95 northbound near Exit 6 was shut down following a collision with a pedestrian around 6:30 a.m.

The highway reopened around 1 p.m.

While the road was closed, traffic was diverted off Exit 5.

Police did not provide any updates on the pedestrian or the collision.
