A 41-year-old postal worker is under arrest Friday and faces a host of charges after police say he led them on a high-speed chase on I-95.
Police say Anthony DeFelice shot at someone near his apartment complex in New Haven. They say he then escaped in a postal van and before New Haven authorities could catch him he ditched the van and took off in his own truck. That prompted New Haven police to alert other departments across Connecticut. DeFelice's truck was later spotted at a Fairfield rest stop and that's when a high-speed chase ensued.
The chase caused traffic on I-95 to come to a screeching halt before ending in Stamford near Exit 8. Witnesses on the road said they couldn't believe what they were seeing.
DeFelice now faces a host of motor vehicle charges and criminal charges in New Haven. Authorities there are in charge of the investigation and say they're trying to figure out what sparked the shooting that led to the mayhem.
