Postal workers braved the bitter cold temperatures Friday, trudging through the ice and snow, determined to go about their daily routine of delivering letters.
Letter carrier of three years, Maria Ryklin, says she is prepared for the bitterly cold weather and bundles up in layers from head to toe in order to stay warm.
?You got to deal with it. We got to deliver all the mail because customers are waiting,? says Ryklin.
Ryklin admits that it can be treacherous just to reach the mailbox when the ground is icy, but says you need to take small steps in order not to slip because it is dangerous.
The postal service is asking homeowners to remember to clear off walkways to make sure the carriers can deliver mail safely and timely.
