While visiting Bridgeport Wednesday, President Bush was greeted with a mix of boos and cheers from the community. Hundreds rallied about a block from the Green on State Street where the president made his appearance. While the crowd remained under control behind a police barricade, a war of words did escalate between protesters and supporters. Bush supporters were obvious, most waving flags or dressed in red white and blue, but protesters overshadowed them with angry messages for the president. Many disagree with the president's view on the war in Iraq. Others, however, responded to Bush's visit about the health savings account program saying it is aimed at the wealthy. Related Story
