Lawyers, judges, probation officers and law enforcement officials helped host a prom dress giveaway this weekend in honor of Law Day.
Hundreds of high school students were able to shop for dresses, jewelry and accessories at no cost to them.
"Not only do you have the opportunity to get a free dress, instead of having your parents pay for it," said Kayla Ellis, one of the student shoppers. "It also gives you an opportunity to look around, keep your eyes open, not only for a specific color, but also something that will fit you, that will make you unique."
The teens that took home an outfit were asked to pay it forward by bringing in canned goods for a food pantry.
