Questions remain following fire that destroyed Shakespeare Theatre
Stratford's town theater committee held its first meeting since a fire destroyed the Shakespeare Theatre Sunday.
Some members of the subcommittee meeting were emotional about the weekend's events but seem ready to do something.
"It's emotionally hard but now I'm very determined," said volunteer Henry Bruce.
For decades, the town struggled to find a plan that created consensus and now some want to see a major change.
"I believe the land needs to go back to the state at this point," says former council member Tina Manus. "Stratford did not do what they promised to do when they took this property over."
Other council members expressed hope that people will come together and reach a conclusion.
An insurance adjuster is scheduled to visit the site Thursday and a vigil is scheduled at the site on Saturday.
