THIS EVENING

At least part of today ended up being decent away from the immediate South Shore with some breaks of sun and temperatures in the 50s for most, but it will be mostly cloudy tonight with more areas of widespread fog developing along with spotty drizzle. Keep a light rain jacket with you. It will be a mild evening and overnight with low temperatures all across Long Island in the upper 40s to middle 50s. The wind will be breezy overnight, too with a southwest wind around 10 to 20 mph.

GRADUAL IMPROVEMENTS SATURDAY

It is going to be another day of gradual weather improvements on Long Island Saturday. Expect a foggy, drizzly start to the morning with breaks of sun developing mid-morning and into the afternoon. High temperatures are expected to mostly reach the middle 60s. Temperatures will top out in the 50s though for the South Shore and East End. There will be a slight chance for a passing shower in the afternoon, but most of the afternoon will be dry. If clouds and fog are slower to clear inland, temperatures can stay a bit cooler in the afternoon, but the middle part of the day will be decent overall!
More fog and spotty drizzle will be likely Saturday night into Easter Sunday morning. Low temperatures will be in the lower 40s.

WET EASTER SUNDAY

It won't be pouring all day and this is not a big storm, but unfortunately, it continues to look like a wet and bit of a windy day on Easter. That will impact any outdoor plans you may have.
It will be a cloudy morning with times of spotty light rain and drizzle, but there should be some dry time mixed in during the morning. It is not a washout for the start of the day.
A period of steady, moderate rain with a rumble of thunder will move through late-morning through late-afternoon. That will be the wettest time of the day - figure from around 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wind gusts will also approach 30 mph. Afternoon high temperatures will be around the upper 50s to near 60 degrees.
Then, any lingering showers will begin to exit, and it will dry out during the mid-evening hours, but clouds will remain.
