FORECAST:
Showers are expected to overspread western Connecticut as we get into later today.
The rain will arrive after about 3 p.m. for western Connecticut and become steady through the evening commute and overnight.
The good news is that there will be a lull in the rain for portions of Wednesday, but some isolated downpours may linger.
There will be a few more showers moving through, especially Wednesday night. Watch out for those leaves - wet leaves may make things slippery even after the rain has stopped.
Temperatures will be surprisingly warm. If rain weren't involved, this would be a lovely forecast heading into Thanksgiving.
A sharp cold front will deliver much colder air and gusty winds starting Thursday for Thanksgiving. Friday could end up being even windier.
Unfortunately, there could be rain returning just as the long holiday weekend wraps up. Stay with News 12 CT for more details.
