Two disabled brothers from Bridgeport thanked News 12 Connecticut Sunday for helping them get a $15,000 handicapped-accessible ramp built at their home.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal presented the ramp to Onix and John Ortiz at a ceremony in the North End, where the brothers live.
Both brothers have cerebral palsy and contacted News 12 Connecticut last year about getting a ramp constructed in the rear of their house.
The Needs Clearing House partnered with the Building Hope Foundation to turn their dream into a reality.
News 12 Connecticut also teamed up with NCH in 2014 to help the Ortiz brothers get their own handicapped-accessible van.
