As temperatures slowly begin to heat up, so is the real estate market across southwestern Connecticut.
Realtors say if you've been thinking of selling your home, now is a good time to get into action. Melissa Mack, of Sotheby's International Realty, says there are a few things that sellers can do to make their homes more appealing because buyers nowadays just want to move right in.
Mack says if you plan to sell your home you should de-clutter, paint over colorful walls with neutral colors and fix any worn out floors.
Realtor Cliff Smith says it is also important to note that the warm weather really brings out buyers. Smith says it's also important to work on your home's curb appeal.
Both Smith and Mack say it's important to remember that if you're listing your place, you're trying to market a house rather than sell your home.
