The Town of Redding says a portion of Black Rock Turnpike had to be closed off after a tree fell and led to a downed wire.
Officials say the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday during intense storms in the region.
News 12 is told about 30 families in the area are still without power and are waiting for Eversource Energy to confirm the downed wire is dead.
