State legislators have expressed concern that Gov. M. Jodi Rell's veto of a budget bill may result in drastic changes for Connecticut's court system.
On Monday, Rell announced she vetoed a bill linked to the $38 billion budget because it placed too may limitations on potential cost-cutting measures.
State Sen. Bob Duff (D-Norwalk) says the governor has proposed shifting all the cases from Norwalk Superior Court to Stamford. The state would also close the Norwalk Juvenile Courthouse and move that operation to Norwalk Superior Court's building.
Duff says these changes will be inconsequential.
"The employees are moving over to Stamford, so you're not saving there," he says.
