The remains of three dogs were found inside a burning shed in Bridgeport and at least one man was arrested, police say.
David Valle, 38, was arrested after the discovery Tuesday night and is facing two counts of animal cruelty, along with reckless burning and other charges.
Police say he tried to keep firefighters away from the burning shed behind a house in the 600 Block of Wayne Street, where they eventually found the charred remains.
Authorities seized two living dogs, who they say were both malnourished. A day later, after eating, drinking and getting medical care, officials say the dogs are doing much better.
They say that they're sending the dogs' remains to a medical laboratory in Hartford to see why they were burned in the first place.
Valle's bond was set at $20,000.
Police say a woman at the home, Sherry Yasin, of Florida, was also arrested for interfering with officers.
