Congressman Christopher Shays (R-Bridgeport) kicked off a series of community meetings Saturday to hear the concerns of his constituents.
Shays spent two hours talking and listening to neighbors in both Stamford and Norwalk on topics ranging from wire-tapping to immigration laws. He says he believes the only way to be heard in Washington is through the voice of the people. Shays listened as voters vented their frustrations on an array of issues. Shays says he is never the same after what he calls the quintessential New England town meeting.
Shays will continue his community meetings throughout his district during the entire month of January.
