Report: Truck belonging to Dulos’ company was in New Canaan on day of disappearance
A black Ford pickup truck belonging to Fotis Dulos' real estate company was in New Canaan the day Jennifer Dulos disappeared, according to the Hartford Courant.
The report says that Fotis was not driving the truck, which police have apparently seized.
The Courant says the employee driving the truck, who is not being named, was working at the house Dulos' company is building on Sturbridge Hill Road in New Canaan. The employee allegedly returned the truck to Dulos in Farmington that same day.
The employee's attorney, Lindy Urso, told News 12 Connecticut, "My client has cooperated fully with authorities, is not in any way a suspect, and is just looking forward to moving on with his life post-Fotis Dulos."
Police believe later in the day on May 24, Fotis Dulos was driving that truck in the north end of Hartford as he dropped garbage bags filled with bloody clothes. Police say that blood matched Jennifer Dulos.
Fotis and his girlfriend Michelle Troconis have pleaded not guilty and are free on bond. Fotis Dulos defense attorney Norm Pattis told New Haven radio station WPLR Thursday morning that he is trying to change the public's perception of his client.
"When the world has reached conclusions about your client, obviously you want to protect him from the public and from the rage that is directed at him, and redirect that rage," he said.
Pattis told the radio station that Troconis, facing charges in this case, passed a polygraph test. He says he has people conducting their own independent investigation of the case.
