Connecticut residents got a chance to get outside Sunday and make the most of their Labor Day weekend as Hermine churned in the waters of the Atlantic.
However, some local business owners say they are still taking a hit from the storm due to lessened traffic.
Safety officials are still warning residents to keep their guards up because conditions can change quickly.
Hermine is expected to stall for the next couple of days a few hundred miles south of the coast, potentially bringing strong winds and some flooding in coastal areas.
