Connecticut residents assured they will have their voices heard come November as they signed up to vote on National Voter Registration Day.
Residents flocked to libraries where they got the opportunity to check their voter status or to just sign up.
The League of Women Voters of Fairfield was there to help sign citizens up.
Organizers say anyone in the state who needs to register to vote or change their address or party can come out to Fairfield's two public library branches as part of National Voter Registration Day.
The first selectman seat is up for grabs come November.
Incumbent Mike Tetreau will face off against state Rep. Brenda Kupchick.
The library is also offering lessons in civics ahead of the election.
