Restaurants reopened Wednesday for outdoor dining as Connecticut begins the first phase of reopening the state's economy.
Restaurants had been restricted to takeout only for the past two months. Tables were seen out at two restaurants along Columbus Park in Stamford.
Residents say they're making reservations and coming at quieter times for safety reasons, and some even brought their own wipes and sanitizer.
The owner of Acuario tells News 12 despite being certified by the state, bringing back customers wasn't an easy decision.
According to the Connecticut Restaurant Association, between 20 and 25% of restaurants with outdoor dining decided to reopen on May 20.
