A Mosholu Parkway bus stop remains inaccessible to the handicapped months after riders have voiced complaints.
The Bx1 and Bx2 buses stop at the parkway and Paul Avenue near the Tracey Towers housing complex. Despite the busy area, commuters say the city has failed to install a sidewalk. The stop also has a handicapped-accessible sign. However, riders complain the curb is too high, sometimes forcing wheelchair-bound riders to wait in the street for a bus.
Improvements have been made at a nearby bus stop. Riders say the stop near Paul Avenue should have been improved at the same time. The MTA says the Department of Transportation is responsible for installing sidewalks. News 12 The Bronx is awaiting comment from the DOT on the matter.
