A Ridgefield man has been convicted for his role in the Jan.
6 Capitol riots.
A judge found Patrick McCaughey
guilty on nine counts, including assault on officers using a dangerous weapon. Two other men were also
found guilty.
McCaughey is seen on video pinning an officer between the
door and the frame at a Capitol entrance.
McCaughey's attorney says they strongly disagree with the
verdicts pertaining to the use of a dangerous or deadly weapon and will appeal
the verdict.
McCaughey is to be sentenced on Jan. 26, 2023.
