Sacred Heart remained undefeated in conference play after a 12-6 win over Saint Francis in the semifinal round of the NEC Championship Thursday in Fairfield.
Laura Korutz's team jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the first half and never looked back.
NEC Offensive Player of the Year Lydia Werlau scored five goals for the Pioneers who limited Saint Francis to just two goals in the second half.
Sacred Heart advances to Saturday's NEC Championship game against Wagner at Campus Field in Fairfield at 1 p.m.
