The Salvation Army is calling on the public to donate due to the fact that it cut down on bell ringers amid the pandemic.
The pandemic has caused obstacles, as usually there are nine bell ringers throughout Stamford. This year, only three signed up.
Janice McLean says it's her first week as a bell ringer, and she wants the city to hit its $35,000 goal for the year after it helped her some time ago.
Cpt. Anthony Rivera says it might be hard this year, but the need for their help providing clothing, diapers, toys and furniture is greater than ever.
This year, you can also donate via QR code on the kettles with your smartphone.
