Sacred Heart University says a student charged with sharing a nude photograph of another student is no longer enrolled at the school.
Police say a 20-year-old female student contacted police after an off-campus party in October. She told police that she had two drinks at the party and doesn't remember what happened until she woke up allegedly next to Nick Otto-Bernstein.
Police say that the victim's friend showed her a nude photo of her that she alleges was sent to men in a fraternity on campus by Otto-Bernstein.
The school released a statement saying in part: “Sacred Heart University's primary goal is always the protection of our students, faculty, staff and visitors to our campus. The student who was alleged to have distributed the photo has voluntarily withdrawn from the University. Beyond that, federal privacy laws prevent us from commenting on individual students.”
According to reports, Otto-Bernstein was charged with voyeurism, unlawful dissemination of an intimate image and dissemination of voyeuristic material.
